QA Test Lead (Agile)

Location: Charlottesville, VA

Description:
6 month contract-to-hire.

A mid-level business analyst and QA lead comfortable in an agile web application development environment.

The role: part QA Tester and part Requirements Analyst, this role will require someone experienced in the SDLC of an agile environment. The strong candidate should have experience in business analysis and QA testing in agile development environments.

QA Testing Skills Required:

- 2-3 years with software testing (QA) techniques
- understanding of testing in agile environment
- experience tracking defects, reporting
- experience defining and determining user stories
- ensuring the creation of strong unit tests
- ability to add automated tests (ie. using Python)
- ability to verify the completion of user stories
- strong software usability experience (web)

Requirements Analyst Skills Required:

- 2-3 years requirements gathering
- Experience gathering requirements (feature-based)
- Experience reviewing and managing requirements
- Experience communicating requirements to programming team
- Understanding of agile requirements gathering tools (ie. user stories)

Additional Skills:

- usability analytics experience
- ability to create automated test scripts

Environment:

- Opensource (java) application development team
- Agile Application environment
